I am Danish, born in Japan (1983), with a bachelor’s degree in product design (2007) from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. I am a designer and an academic as well as founder and owner of a creative design studio.
My design practice operates from the perspective of creating value, gaining a competitive edge and staying relevant. I explore and experiment with objects that inspire and engage people within their daily life. In my practice I work with topics such as behaviour, craft, identity, tradition and design ethics. In 2017, I established my design studio after many years working as a designer in industry.
My diverse design background includes experience within home accessories, furniture, lighting and luxury interiors working with clients such as Fredrikson Stallard, Tomasz Starzewski, Eva Menz, Torsten Neeland among others. I have worked on projects for David Gill Galleries, Veuve Clicquot, Iittala, Swarovski, Cartier, The Municipality of Copenhagen, AIAIAI, IO-interactive and more.
Since 2013, I have been teaching short courses in product design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. I also teach online classes, give private lessons, I guest-lecture and facilitate design workshops.
I live and work in Copenhagen where I run my design studio.
