Since 2013, I have been teaching short courses in product design at the prestigious university, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Today, I teach my short courses in product design both online and at the Kings Cross campus in the heart of London.
I cover a variety of design subjects based on my academic knowledge, practical skills and industry experience. I also offer private lessons in person or online as well as guest lectures and project-based learning for bigger groups.
My aim is to enable students to reach their potential and empower them to explore and develop skills which will eventually prepare them for industry and for further studies. What I offer:
Teaching with a focus on design fundamentals
Tailored lesson plans and a well-structured curriculum
Objective and qualified assessment of work and skill level
Guidance on how to best showcase and present work and skills
Advice on how to edit, organise and prioritise work
Portfolio and application preparation
My role as a design academic is to teach the fundamentals of the design process through theory and hands-on practice. I guide students through specific subjects giving them the tools to discover how to make informed design decisions. The subjects include;
These subjects help establish a balance between exploring current design ideologies and creating an environment where students have the confidence to experiment with new ideas and improve their hands-on practical skills.
